2 million air fryers recalled over fire risk

About 2 million Cosori brand air fryers were recalled after reports of them catching fire, melting, overheating or smoking, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). ​A

responsible for establishing electrical connections between specific wires has the potential to overheat, according to the manufacturer. The recalled products were sold from June 2018

through December 2022 at Best Buy, Target and Home Depot stores and online at Amazon, Adorama, Bed Bath & Beyond, Cosori, eBay, HomeGoods, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Macy’s, QVC, Staples, Vesync,

Walmart, Wayfair, Wellbots and Woot. They cost $70 to $130. The air fryers were sold in 3.7- and 5.8-quart sizes in black, gray, white, blue or red. The affected model numbers are printed on

the bottom label of each unit and on the accompanying user manual. They are: CP158-AF, CP158-AF-R19, CP158-AF-RXW, CP158-AF-RXR, CAF-P581-BUSR, CAF-P581-AUSR, CAF-P581-RUSR, CP137-AF,

CP137-AF-RXB, CP137-AF-RXR, CP137-AF-RXW, CS158-AF, CS158-AF-RXB, CS158-AF-R19, CAF-P581S-BUSR, CAF-P581S-RUSR, CAF-P581S-AUSR, CO137-AF, CO158-AF, CO158-AF-RXB, CP258-AF.  Those who

purchased a recalled air fryer are advised to stop using it immediately, even if they have not experienced any issues with it. To return the product, visit Cosori’s recall page and
