AARP is launching a free twice-monthly e-newsletter called _AARP Experience Counts,_ focusing on the traditions, values and beliefs that have made the American dream a reality for
generations of households. This newsletter is for those with a positive attitude, a fierce independent streak and an understanding that anything is possible when you work to achieve it. The
first issue of _AARP Experience Counts_ will be delivered to inboxes on Thursday, April 20, and on the first and third Thursday of each month after that. We want to hear about your
experiences, know-how and life hacks. When you subscribe, you can read our interview with social scientist Arthur Brooks on the keys to finding happiness during the second half of life. We
also take you on a tour of America’s most charming small towns and on a quest to find the world’s funniest joke (we’re starting with Bob Hope!). Plus, we reveal the life lessons actor Roma
Downey lives by. And that’s only the beginning. Don’t miss a single issue! Click here to subscribe. Interested in learning more about the team behind the newsletter? The senior editor of
_AARP Experience Counts_ is Sharon Kehnemui, a longtime journalist and former senior politics editor at FoxNews.com. Kehnemui later served as managing director of digital communications at
the American Enterprise Institute. “_AARP Experience Counts_ will offer insights and reflections into what has made America great and how millions of Americans are carrying that dream
forward,” said Kehnemui, who is based in Baltimore. “I am excited to be on the ground floor during the launch of _AARP Experience Counts,_ and I believe that readers will find inspiration
and fortitude alongside like-minded Americans.” Shelley Emling, executive editor, specialized content, shared: “There’s so much negativity all around us. Our aim is to focus on the good in
America and in our fellow Americans. We will shine a spotlight on the positive, inspiring an audience of 50-plus readers through rich storytelling. After all, experience — our collective
experience — really does count.” Join us twice a month and look at the past to help you create a brighter future. _For more stories celebrating what's good in America, subscribe to the
